KAWAI MP 8 II Stage Piano
The Kawai MP8 is the one I choose to play. I think that other brands use “Vpod” or sth like thatie a free digital knob stop allowing the knob always set correctly in relation to its current value; Otherwise, little misadventure: But I appreciate that some would be glad to compromise with a lighter instrument. The piano then analyses the data and creates the perfect touch curve made especially for you. Because it is old I hope they will give you a fair price.
So if you really like the piano, you have to buy pianos VI with big disks and use it. Also finishing a little “vintage” is reminiscent of an old piano of years went by.
Like I said, it was probably the best portable keyboard action available when it came out, hence the huge number of positive reviews.
I’ll report back how I get on with it in action, it arrives here tomorrow. There is a reverb effect as “stand alone”, the choice of another delay, auto-wah, flanger, tremolo, phaser, chorus etc. With powerful features such as these, KAWAI is understandably gaining a reputation as the instrument of choice among professional stage artists.
Dja presets are included with the effects, which are themselves well trs. The features are excellent in theory and practice. Zones can be freely split, layered and velocity switched to create stunning, personalised performances. High-res velocity also works with PT didn’t notice before that you have to enable that as a special MIDI mode in PTbut I didn’t get enough time with it yet to really find out how significant it is if nothing else it’s more realistic, might be more of a subsconscious ‘feel’ thing, still valuable for that.
The new standard in Professional Stage Pianos!! It’s going to be my main instrument digital for long, even if the dvelopement new sounds, the internal sounds will not be the height of the time two or three years Going to a musical instrument shop and trying one out would be the best option, surely? Kawai mp8 is too old to put money on it.
It certainly feels good to play, but the Lachnit is on another level, in my opinion.
User reviews: Kawai MP8 – Audiofanzine
To me, this means I can adjust my piano sound to respond to my touch as I expect for a real piano in any room or venue, without being psychologically influenced by the overall volume level. Je will therefore soon obliged to bring this famous MP8 on scene.
Check out condition and specially every key and sound in it. There are also touch curves and lots of tweaking one can do in the Virtual Technician to get the responsiveness that you desire. I use the piano only qq first Last edited by NathanShirley The pedal seems soft harmonics Plutt cut shorter than the sounds J’apprcie essentially his touch and high quality sound.
Or, load up a VST on a laptop and bring it with you to audition, so the tone generation is the same between the two.
But we well understand, dear reader, that’s true of all electric pianos Great 88 note weighted action. You can combine up to four internal sounds a layer of pure CRER sounds even more complex.
I have owned my Kawai MP8 keyboard for over 10 years, and I’m iawai using the Pianoteq 5 sounds over the internal piano sounds.
All buttons are bright, is very convenient and makes up a small display. As long as it fits in my car it could weigh as much as me and I’d be happy — as long as the action is good. You must login or register to post a reply.
This is obvious when playing off camera ok, little interestbut also when playing with headphones for other people in the room! I bought an instrument for me could only justify its price with the touch of the keyboard absolutely gnial.
In User Touch Curve mode, you are asked to play dynamically from soft to loud to input your playing style. Because I heard lots of good things about Lachnit, I ask my friend who often travel to Vienna to go there and try that DP. This unique process faithfully reproduces the broad dynamic range of the original grand piano, from subtle pianissimos to thunderous fortissimos.
I was afraid of that because because this man on Youtube also said that in comments before my friend was in Vienna https: Excellent one fingerslapbass enough to eat! Easy to handle on stage or in the studio The MP8 has 4 zones. Finitition keyboard OK, nothing more the keys are not all aligned, highly visible in raking light, but without any effect on the game – for sure that this mechanism is different from the blocks molded platic with millimeter accuracy of Other productions!
It’s hard for me to AB test – because I would be comparing the MP11’s internal sounds against my MP8’s internal sounds and sound library.

The flight case distributed by Kawai is also excellent but a bit expensive to euros. So as a controller it’s pretty damn good – what annoys me is that, it has great speakers apparently much improved from the PXbut I totally don’t like the built-in piano sound. In addition Kawai has refined the electric piano sounds to be compatible with any genre when performing on stage.
This man on video recommends Roland, but Ivory G action is not something I like and I already have Kawai es as a good action substitute.
